Hi everyone, I’ve been crafting as a hobby for a few years now, and I’m thinking about selling my work online. Is it really possible to make a living from this? Any advice or success stories would be amazing!

Hey @CraftDreamer, yes, it’s definitely possible to make a living selling crafts online, but it does take patience and strategy. I’d recommend starting on platforms like Etsy since it has a large user base, but there are also smaller marketplaces that cater specifically to digital and handmade crafts, which could help you stand out more quickly.

A key to success is finding your niche and building a brand that’s visually strong. Take some time to work on product descriptions, photography, and customer service—these can really make a difference!

Yes, it’s possible! I started part-time on Etsy and now run my shop full-time. One thing that really helped me early on was being part of smaller communities and marketplaces where it was easier to get noticed. These platforms often have a more targeted audience looking for handmade or unique digital products.

Also, make sure to take high-quality photos and create a strong social media presence. Instagram has been a big part of how I built my following and drove traffic to my store.

While Etsy is great, there’s value in exploring smaller, growing platforms where you can reach a specific audience more easily. I also suggest looking into digital products, especially if your craft translates well into that space, as it’s a great way to scale without worrying about shipping or production costs.

Also, make sure to price your work fairly. Underpricing might bring in quick sales but won’t sustain a full-time income.
