Hey everyone, I’ve always been interested in graphic design and want to get started, but I’m not sure where to begin. What are the essential tools, resources, or skills I should focus on first? Any advice for a beginner would be really appreciated!

I’d suggest starting with learning the basics of design principles like layout, color theory, and typography. These are the foundation for all good designs.

As for tools, you can begin with something like Canva if you want something user-friendly to play around with. But if you want to go pro, learning Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop are key, especially for vector and raster designs. They have a bit of a learning curve but there are loads of tutorials on YouTube or platforms like Udemy.

Don’t get overwhelmed by trying to learn everything at once. Pick one software and get comfortable with it, then move on to others. Also, try to design daily, even small things. Consistency is what helped me improve quickly when I started out. Good luck!
